Bringing aerospace technology to civil engineering, Embry-Riddle’s Master of Science in Civil Engineering offers hands-on, research-focused study with thesis and non-thesis tracks.   • Civil Engineering Infrastructure Lab – Facilities for applied research in structural health monitoring and advanced materials of civil infrastructure are housed in this lab. The space is currently used in support of student projects, undergraduate research projects and faculty-led research.
  • Civil Engineering Materials Lab – This lab is equipped with numerous test apparatuses and machines to characterize infrastructure materials, including aggregates, Portland cement, Portland cement concrete, asphalt concrete, soils, timber and metals.
  • Multimodal Intelligent Transportation Lab – Transportation research into the safety, operations, design, planning and maintenance issues involving our nation’s infrastructure, with an emphasis on airports, is combined with classroom experience in this lab.
