The Bachelor of Science in Uncrewed and Autonomous Systems focuses on the growth, innovative development and effective use of uncrewed system technology across the air, space, ground and maritime domains. Graduates are prepared to develop and apply the advanced technologies necessary to support the growing and dynamic needs of the industry and help guide the policies and regulations that govern this emerging field.
For students interested in drone operation and autonomous robotics, then a degree in Uncrewed and Autonomous Systems will prepare them for a wide range of careers in government agencies, the military, defense contractors and civilian and commercial sectors.
Through coursework in aerodynamics, air traffic management, ground, maritime and aircraft systems operations, cybersecurity, testing and inspection, legal compliance, programing, operational environments, sensing technology, mission planning, human factors and more, students will gain a deep understanding of uncrewed systems and be prepared for success.

- Earn a Federal Aviation Administration Part 107
- UNSY 435 residency program, an elite training experience for professional drone pilots. The residency is offered twice a year—each December and May—and requires travel to Embry-Riddle’s Worldwide Headquarters in Daytona Beach, Florida.
- Earn an Agricultural Drone Certification (Part 137)
- For those planning to continue their education, a 4+1 option allows students to earn a bachelor’s and master’s degree in five years.
- Virtual Aerial Robotics Lab – Allows students to build UAS, test flight capability and analyze results from all their own computers.
